David Ellis, CFA

Biography

David Ellis is a senior analyst and portfolio manager for the Global Fixed Income team at Allspring Global Investments. He joined Allspring from GIA Partners, LLC, where he was a managing director and portfolio manager, serving as the high yield sector specialist responsible for covering the telecommunications, cable/media, and health care industries. Prior to joining GIA, David was responsible for managing $2 billion in high yield assets at JPMIM. Before JPMIM, he was a corporate banker in Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York’s (MGT) credit group. He also held various positions in MGT’s international division, covering African, Benelux, and U.K. companies. He began his investment industry career in 1996. David earned a bachelor’s degree in history, graduating cum laude from Amherst College, and he has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation. He speaks French.
