Samuel Smith, CFA

Biography

Sam Smith is a principal and portfolio manager on the Peregrine Small Cap Growth team and shares the responsibility for fundamental research, stock selection, and portfolio management. He joined Peregrine in 2006 as a portfolio assistant and progressed into senior analyst and associate portfolio manager positions before being promoted to his current role. Sam earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas. He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation and is a member of CFA Institute and a former board member of CFA Society Minnesota, where he chaired the Advocacy and Public Awareness Committee.
